2021-22 Convention Schedule?

Post by Maka »

Dear Stan,

I saw that WonderCon will be in person on April 1-2, 2022 (https://sdccblog.com/2021/04/wondercon- ... rly-april/). That is less than a year away. HA!

Stan, I imagine you will always make SDCC once it returns in person. But for other California comic cons, does it depend on if they invite you? Or have you enjoyed not having to travel as much this year and want to keep some of that stay-at-home schedule?

Peace, maka

I hope he branches out to all cons next year!

Megacon (Orlando) is less than 2 months away. I plan on going to get Tone Rodriguez (Sakai Project) and George Takei (Red Scorpion) signatures.

Tone is awesome. He has 3 pieces (intro, his own art, and he inked an artists pencils, if I recall correctly) you can have him sign in the book. I would love a George Takei signature on Red Scorpion. Awesome! Enjoy your in person Con!!! Peace, maka

I saw Stan post this reply on FB regarding conventions this year, "We have received invitations, but we are not doing any in-person comic conventions this year. All of us here at Usagi Studios have a really heavy workload right now and it will get heavier in the coming months. We really do enjoy going to cons, but just cannot spare the time. Even going to a weekend con costs us a full week with prep, travel and recovery. Meanwhile, we will be doing special events on the website, the next of which will be for San Diego Con On-Line in a few weeks."

That leaves the door open for next year but sounds like the Usagi Crew is very busy with a lot of work.

One thing I like about online is you often can watch it later if you want to rewatch or couldn't make the original stream.

Peace, maka
