Usagi Yojimbo Origins, vol 2: Wanderer's Road cover art

Post by jabba359 »

This was originally solicited with a new piece of art by Stan, but it's now showing up with a cover by Peach instead. Did they decide to change it? Will the original cover art be used elsewhere instead? If it uses the Peach art, I hope that "For the first time in full color!" badge is just a removable sticker, as I hate that kind of thing on covers.

Stan's cover is so great. When I first saw your title of this post, I thought the cover was for sale! Not that I could afford it.

Peach's cover is nice but Stan's cover is the mood cover I like. How strange to have an Usagi book with a cover not by Stan. I guess there is always going to be firsts sometimes.

Peace, maka

It'll be interesting to see what happens. Maybe two versions? I doubt it, but who knows. It makes you wonder though... Stan usually does covers way in advance, and to all of a sudden have a guest cover artist seems kind of odd, but I'm sure Stan must have some say in the matter.

I love Peach's art, but I'd really prefer to keep Stan's art on the cover if for no other reason, just for the sake of long standing tradition.
