The Shrouded Moon is out

Post by Stan Sakai »

UY Book 16: The Shrouded Moon trade edition hit the stands last week. I signed a bunch of copies at Gary's Corner Bookstore on Saturday.

The limited hardcover will be available in a couple of weeks.

Found it in Wichita on my way through on Sunday -- the one copy they had! Quite lovely. I also received Demon Mask from Amazon tonight, so I am once again caught up bookwise. I have no opportunity to buy individual issues in Emporia, so have been depending on the trades -- it's great to know what Usagi's up to even though I come back here so rarely.

Nice to see the Neko Ninja story progressing -- how will Chizu get out of THIS one? I also enjoyed learning more about Kitsune. The girl traveling with Jei's spirit looks a bit different -- are you planning to have her (and Jotaro as well) grow older? I know several years have gone by in "story-time" since the start of this series.

As for Demon Mask, it was quite interesting to see the short-shorts at the end. I particularly liked the dancing-ninja one! There were a lot of "thinking-man's" stories in that book, from Moon Shadow Hill to Demon Mask and Death and Taxes. I like characters with good minds, who seek to find the less obvious solution!
Oh, why no cover pics in the Demon Mask book? Is there a page cutoff or something?

I've also been ordering the new Groo paperbacks left and right, so Stan's work is taking up a great deal of my shelf space now! Can't wait for more. Keep up the great work!

I feel somewhat uneasy asking this, but is there a release date to the coming book #17? I'm really looking forward to reading about the duel at Kitanoji Temple, so much i can hardly sit still when thinking about it. However I've managed to uphold the tradition of only buying the TP (so far), so I'd like to have an idea of how much longer I and others have to wait.
