Upcoming appearances

Post by Stan Sakai »

I've just committed to a few signings.

April 9, Saturday at Pulp Fiction in Long Beach, CA. I'll do a presentation at 10, and a signing after.

April 23, Saturday at the Heritage Source booth at the LA Times Festival of Books at UCLA in Westwood, CA. I'll be signing from 11- to noon (or so).

September 24-25 Anime Weekend Atlanta at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel in Atlanta, Ga.

If you're in the area of any of these signings, let me know.

If you're interested in ordering signed books for the Heritage Source signing, you can order them from their website at www.heritagesource.com

I would love to go over to the UK. Unfortunately, I've never been invited to any cons or signings there. I guess I could go over for a vacation, but I do enough traveling as it is, and if I'm going to actually pay to travel I would just as soon visit family in Hawaii.

Hopefully, one day I'll make it over.

Toronto this year??

Jupie
it takes a minute to love someone,a second to loose them, a lifetime to try and forget, but above all of this the knowledge to try and move on. You wont ever pick up all the pieces of a broken heart

Yes, Toronto. I think it was posted on another topic somewhere.

The entire family will be at Anime North, May 27-27. I've even been asked to provide the cover for the con book. For information, go to:

www.animenorth.org

I will also be doing a presentation at the Monterey Park Library in California on May 7. It will be part of their Asian Pacific Heritage Festival.

I am *hoping* to bring a few students with me this day-- something I haven't done since before the riots in L.A.--

If you're planning on coming to my presentation on Saturday, I suggest you call Pulp Fiction at 562-496-3343 to make reservations. It's a book store, and seating is limited.

Pulp Fiction

Post by Dranatha »

Stan,

I'll see you at Pulp Fiction. The store told me they only are reserving 14 seats and I was the 15 caller. I don't mind standing. Hope to other dojo members there. Also from 8am to 10am the store will be showing TMNT cartoons featuring Usagi.

I was there, after I drove past and missed the store a couple of times. Not as many people as anticipated, but I got to spend a bit more time with each of them. Did a lot of sketches. But then, for those who came for the 8 am screening of the TMNT cartoons, it was a long morning even before the presentation.

Dranatha was also there, with his son. I really enjoy meeting Dojo members, and being able to put a face with the names on the board.
