CAPS auction?
Hey everyone I saw the auction for CAPS. I don't care much for original prints but I do care for Stan. Any chance I could just donate? Or that we here on the dojo can do a fundraiser? Stan and Sharon deserve this.

This might work too: https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/websc ... 1ab7e9fe63

Re: CAPS auction?
Question; can anyone be open to donating art for the auction, or do you have to be a member of CAPS in order to do so? I wouldn't mind donating some art pieces in order to help Stan and Sharon.Maka wrote:Here's a page with a direct link to paypal Stan family without the auction:

Re: CAPS auction?
I haven't been having much luck with the links so far. Seems to be some issues with either Paypal or the recipient....

Re: CAPS auction?
Maichan,
Try going to this website. There is a paypal button on this site. It worked for me.

Midoribara, try contact CAPS president Pat McGreal at (310) 365-8457 and patmcgrael@gmail.com. I'll try too and let you know what he says.
Peace, maka

They have a notice on their page:This recipient is currently unable to receive money.
Hope they get it fixed soon.UPDATE! Due to the huge response to this from you guys, Paypal is having issues right now. It's being resolved. We'll let you know as soon as it's working again. Thanks so much for your help.

Re: CAPS auction?
I suspect the "issues" might be a security flag for receiving so many payments in a short space of time... wouldn't put it past Paypal.

Re: CAPS auction?
FYI - I email Pat and sent him a picture and links to what I wanted to donate. He wrote back and said he would accept it. So I think write to him and he'll let you know. Thanks for being willing to help. Peace, Makamidoribari wrote:

Re: CAPS auction?
I'm glad to see that Mark Evanier is helping to get the word out about this:

I sent George Takei a message on Facebook asking him to share a link, but I don't know if he's seen it or not.

Re: CAPS auction?
I think this piece by Greg Pak might be my favorite CAPS auction contribution so far:

Quick confession: I think I went though a brief period in high school of wearing jackets that way after seeing Kurosawa's Yojimbo.
