I got Gen!

Post by MikeM »

So, I was out shopping with the little lady and I walked by the toy section. I couldn't resist the pull, so I was flipping through the TMNT figures doubting I would find anything of interest. At the end of the last row, there it was! A Gen action figure. I immediately grabbed it and my fiance bought it for me. (Ain't she sweet?)

Now I need to find another one so I can open it and place it by my Usagi action figure.

I signed one at Anthrocon this past weekend. I wonder if they are becoming more readily available.

I wish I'd known they were rare when I bought mine. There were two out on the racks. I think they only come 1 per package of the specific subset of the TMNT figure line that Gen is a part of.

I do have to say that this is probably my favorite Usagi-related action figure. While he doesn't really look like Gen, something about Gen's personality comes through in him, and the "crumbling in defeat" ability, while highly disturbing and blatantly unfair to the character, is tremendously fun. I enjoy making his joints go limp and then making him stand. I pretend he's had too much sake :D

Me, too! He was there in the midst of others-- I found him by accident!

NOW if I could only do something about those eyes...
