Well, I'm guessing the reserve must be pretty darn high! I bid the starting, and then put in my maximum bid, and was told that the reserve had NOT been met, although I was the current high bidder.
I'm guessing this one is going to be tooooooooo expensive for me!

I think I have about 10 or a dozen copies of Albedo #2. I used to bring one each year to San Diego to sell, but stopped when the e-bay prices broke $200.Trevis Woods wrote:
Stan, how many copies do you have???
What is your most prized comic book possesion?
Do you collect any comic series?
I don't know which is my most prized comic book. I do have Fantastic Four #4. I also had #2. I do have two copies of the San Diego Gold Edition of Miracle Man #1. TMNT #1 signed by Peter Laird. I have original pages by Steve Ditko, Frank Miller, and Sheldon Mayer.
I don't collect any series. There are a few I buy to read, like Mouse Guard, and almost anything by Guy Davis.

May I ask why you stopped bring the comics to the con once the Ebay sells broke $200?...People would have been unable to afford it? How much would they go for when you sold then at the cons?Stan Sakai wrote:I think I have about 10 or a dozen copies of Albedo #2. I felt guilty selling them at $100, much less $200. However, with the books going for $500-$2,000, I really could not price them at what I was comfortable with. I may start bringing a copy again, just to price it at $999.99.Usagi wrote:May I ask why you stopped bring the comics to the con once the Ebay sells broke $200?...People would have been unable to afford it? I read the beginning of Rise of the Axe on the author's website, and i found it looks like LOTR.Mouse Guard is an amazing series!
It looks great and it is one more comic we don't finfd here. I would have requested an Usagi sketch to David Petersen, but since you have planned to trade some color pinups next year with him, i will wait.
I want a photo of the price tag on your booth !I really could not price them at what I was comfortable with. I may start bringing a copy again, just to price it at $999.99.
and a photo after it has been sold !
Wow !
