read review
kon nichi wa,
The review makes the book sound very interesting, and since I did little more than glance through the pages on your web-site, mainly checking out the artwork since I did not want to read part of the story now and then have to wait until I ordered a copy of the book to read the rest, I now have an idea on what the plot of the story is... Sounds cool and I'm ordering one through my local comic shop s soon as possible... There is too little liturature, graphic and prose, set in ancient or fuedal Japan being published, so thanks for the notice concerning this one...
Arigato,
Steve

Re: atten-HUT
We've been facing that problem for years. Lately, I've been trying to get more noticed in the book market--doing presentations at libraries, doing a signing at Book Expo America, etc. As a result, Usagi is in a lot more libraries--a very good market.dangelo wrote: But now I face an old comics problem. How get the attention of non-readers? How to bring them in?

Old battle
Sensei,
Do you use a different distributor for books?
As for the battle, it an eternal battle. Did you read the interview with Dynamic Force's President Nick Barrucci about FREE COMIC BOOK DAY?
http://www.newsarama.com/Nick1.htm
All my life I did kind of a "gorrila war" action in selling comics, but even this way Comics is allways seen a FunnyKiddy stuff.
Wich I don't realy care, because I know millions of people think different, But, anyhoo, Thank you for care, and for this space.
PS: Sorry, I have to ask.
What are your impressions about the book Mr. Sakai?

Re: Old battle
I think it's terrific. Beautiful art. Marvelous, clear storytelling. It has a very cinematic feel to it. I especially like the way you spot your black. Very effective.dangelo wrote: What are your impressions about the book Mr. Sakai?

DOMO-ARIGATO Sensei.
It was a long way to get here. Thanks for all the help. After it's released I will send you, with much joy, one copy as a token of my gratitude.
I hope you all like the story as much as the art. Shane, that is from Santa Barbara, is a great writer and did a very long reseach. I will send him this messages, he will be as much happy as I am.
As for the name of the story, It is LORD TAKEYAMA. and thanks too...

new samurai book
Hey,
I managed to find your book in the May Diamond Preview catalog and get it added to my order through the local comic shop... I am looking forward to reading it. Sorry that I won't get a chance to meet Shane at SDCC this year, Michigan is too far away and my budget will not allow it... Hope everyone going has a great time...
