They get saved as propriatory flash files (not regular SWF etc) you need a special player for. You would then need some sort of convertor to turn them into AVI, MPG or whatever you wanted. At a pinch I have done this a few times from YouTube. Least the plug-in I have works on Google Video as well...

The YouTube question is a good one. For people like me who still use a dial-up connection, it's just not worth the time to download an entire show online when there's a dvd or it's coming out on TV. I did that one time and it took all evening. Never again.
In the case of "Samurai Tourist", I was able to DVR it on it's original airdate, then I hooked it up to my DVD recorder and made my own DVD so I could watch it in my room on the computer. But I do want a better quality version as well as some of the other episodes in that season, so I will eventually get the two disc set that has this episode on it. And I've bought the DVDs for all of Usagi's other appearances with the exception of his Christmas cameo, which I haven't seen yet.

Now I got around to remembering... the one I use is called Super (just type Super into Google, should be the first link!).Robweiller wrote:Know any good freeware flv player or flv-avi convertor that wouldn't expire after the 30-day trial period?

I've managed to catalog all of Usagi's appearances on the TMNT cartoon shows, here: http://usagiyojimbo.com/intro/uytv.html
Leo did visit Usagi's world in "The Real World" parts 1 and 2.
