San Diego: What to bring?
Okay, it's about a month before the big San Diego Con (aka Comic Con International: San Diego). Is there anything in particular that you want me to bring--action figure, resin figure, particular piece of art, that issue you're looking for that will complete your collection?

Hi Stan -
I was wondering if you had anything out of the mainstream to bring this year. Last year you had those wonderful Dutch editions. The year before that you had the proofs of the Usagi print.
Do you have any foreign editions available this year? I know that Usagi is reprinted in (at least) Norwegian and Spanish, and I'd be interested in picking up some of those if you have any.
See you in SD!
Adam.

I've got Usagi in Spanish, German, Polish, and Croatian. He's also been published in French, Swedish, and Portuguese and a couple of other languages. They are all very similiar to the US editions. The Dutch did have new covers. The French also has new covers and are oversize (about 9x12") but I just have a couple of file copies of those. The Croatian editions are hardcovers. I generally do no bring these to con because there seems to be not demand for them--even the Spanish editions. However, if you are interested in any of them, let me know and I'll bring some down.Usagisher wrote:Hi Stan -

Foreign Editions
Can you give me an idea of how many there are, and pricing on them?
I would rather get a representative sample of all of them than blow out my budget on trying to buy a whole run.

I'd like to know what issues of Fantagraphics you could bring with you to sell, Stan. I need a fair amount of them, and I don't think Fanta is selling the ones I need anymore. So if you can bring those, i'll list which ones I need. Oh and Usagi action figures, any kind, or all kinds. But I'm sure you were planning on bringing them anyway. Thanks.

Re: Foreign Editions
I'm still in Hawaii so don't have access to the foreign editions right now. There are about a dozen German and six Spanish volumes. There were a few Croatian volumes, and two or three French volumes in the French edition.Usagisher wrote:Can you give me an idea of how many there are, and pricing on them?

Again, except for the French and Dutch, there is nothing new in the foreign editions. If you can't read the language I wouldn't advise getting them, except as a curiosity.
I sell them for about $10 each.

Let me know which issues you need, as I don't usually bring loose back issues, except for the current stuff. I generally sell them for about $3 each (what the current issues are priced at). UY #1 and a few others go for a bit higher. I also bring a few complete sets, all signed. The Fantagraphics set sells for $125.Tounian wrote:I'd like to know what issues of Fantagraphics you could bring with you to sell, Stan. I also don't usually bring action figures, so if you want any let me know.

Stan, I need 2, 3, 9, 12, 14, 17, 19, 20, 22, 24-28, and 34 in Fantagraphics. Also I would like them to not be autographed, if that is possible. Please don't be offended Sensei, I like to keep my comics in the shape they were when they came out, and get my trades signed
I also would like the variant version of the new Usagi figure, with the black gi with white spots, and the glow in the dark tokage. If what I'm asking is going to be too much of a hassle, then don't worry about it. I don't want my requests to be a pain, I would feel horrible. Thanks Sensei!
