Disney retains the rights and original art to all their stories. Before the thriving collectors' market, they would routinely rip, then throw the originals out in the trash. Now, I would guess, it is stored somewhere.

Bongo Comics (Simpsons) also keeps the originals, but they pay well for it.

What you didn't say (but what I guess from the way you didn't say it) is, that Disney does not pay well for it.... :wink:
