Paying my dues

Hey Todd,

I was just looking at the Dojo member list by total posts and realized I'm the 8th most frequent poster on this board. I use the Dojo a lot and, up to this point, I don't feel like I've given anything back.

So is there anything I can do to help out? My time is limited, but I'd still be happy to help out with the back issue database come summer, or I could supply pictures from Motorcity or something. What would be most helpful to the Dojo?

Shaxper, I don't think that your amount of posts really matters. That's the reason why ranks aren't based on the number of posts here.

Your messages already make a nice contribution to this forum. But any other help is welcome, I guess.

We're always looking for some extra help. Right now, the biggest area we need some help on is, as you mentioned, the comics section at http://usagiyojimbo.com/casl/comics.html

I believe I have given this task to someone else (I think it was Takeda Shingen), but I haven't seen anything completed yet. I'd contact him and find out where he is, assuming he has started work on it. If not, let him know I've granted you permission to either work with him or take over on it, whichever works best. There's a lot that needs to be done on this section...the Art of UY, Color Specials, and the DHC Vol 3 issues. For volume 3 you have to also list the Actual UY issue (like UY Vol 3 # 1 = Actual UY 59).

Another section that's related to the Comics section that needs updating is the Stories section. Both go hand-in-hand. I believe Gaffey is working on that one for the current issues, but there are still several missing stories. Maybe go through that and determine which stories are missing, and work with Gaffey on getting them in there. You'll need all stories completed in order to link them from the Comics section.

Message me back after you've done this and we'll take it from there....

And Cosmo, I have not forgotten about you. Let me know if you're still interested in doing the UY Timeline.

PS: shaxper, thanks for pointing out that there is still a way to determine the number of posts (something I detest)...zapped it!

Sure I'm still interested. Send me a MP and tell me what exactly to do. I'll work on it after Wednesday, when my exams are finished.

I know the number of posts don't (and shouldn't) count. I was looking just for the sake of curiosity.
