Free convention sketch to the first 2 non-US fans to reply

Post by john h. »

I'm going to try this again after a 3-year hiatus.

Stan has graciously agreed to draw 2 convention sketches for board

members. It will be on 9"x12" Bristol and free of charge (no shipping

costs also). Here's the requirements:

1) You must be a non-US resident.

2) You must be an active board member (at least a couple of posts, before
asking for this sketch).

3) You must not already have a Stan sketch or art AND won't be seeing
Stan in the near future to obtain one for yourself. (Strange I had to
put this in. But someone last time broke this rule)

4) Please respond with what city/country you're from.

That's about it. First 2 qualified responses 'win'. I'll PM the 'winners'

after about details.

Good luck,

John H.

I would love one.

Opps I guess I don't qualify. I have a sketch that Stan mailed me last year because I will never ever get to a Con. If no one else replys I would love to have one so keep me in mind.

I am in St Anthony, Newfoundland Canada (also know as the end of the earth).

Aw man, #3 rules me out also.

I have a beautiful Usagi and Jotaro Commission that I brought from Stan, and Steve kindly shipped it to the UK for me. AND There's a good chance that I may be able to make SDCC next year.

Oh well. :(

I would very much love one of these.

1) Yup.
2) I was a lurker with very few posts about a year ago (?) before my comic hiatus.
3) Nope
4) Nottingham, England.

I am sure there are some people that fit the requirements more so than me though, but I thought what the heck.

Thanks

Except for these, I will not be doing full-blown sketches. I may do head sketches, but nothing more elaborate.

Sergio will not be doing sketches, and may have a sign on his table explaining why.

Stan are you referring to SDCC or all conventions in general?

Probably all conventions, but San Diego in particular. I thought I'd see how it goes at this SD Con.

I will, of course, continue to do drawings in the UY collections and Art of UY books.

Ultimatevenom,

On number 3, is that 'nope', in that you don't have a sketch or art

from Stan or 'nope' that you do have a sketch or art ???

Hi John H,

Number 3 is a 'nope, I have nothing done by Stan!'

Thanks

Probably not a bad idea. The loose page drawings are too tempting an item for eBay parasites. This should send a message out to existing and would-be sketchhounds.
