Usagi all beat up and pissed off - how could I resist! Days later I noticed that it's the back cover illustration for the TPB #20 Glimpses of Death - woot!
this is my favorite of the convention "sketches". Sasuke all ethereal and glowy and exuding calm centeredness. I love the spiral and LOVE the feet. This one's definitely getting framed.

It could be fun to see 4 Art Nouveau panel like Alfons Mucha did : about the 4 seasons, the 4 ages of the life and so on...
It wasn't the four seasons, but I did a Mucha-style drawing of Tomoe for David (don't recall his last name right now) a couple of years ago. He posted the drawing somewhere in the forum.
nope! This all happened at once believe it or not. Everything I own is from this latest MCCC. Three of the "convention sketches" (Usagi, Gen and Sasuke)were a birthday present - my sweety husband Gary loves me too much! Stan is a wonderful person and has a truly generous spirit. And my karma must be in pretty good shape. I am a very fortunate and appreciative new Stan art collector.
here he is lounging on the bed. It's hard to see but the frame is an olive wood veneer and has this great texture that subtly reminds one of bamboo. It's a float matte - meaning the piece appears to be floating in space above the under matte. You can kinda see it in the top left corner. This was to preserve the markings on the front as they're so close to the edge a regular matte would've covered them up. It looks pretty darn nice!
and here he is hanging in the bedroom near a glass and metal sculpture by Robert Studer. The two pieces have a bit of an affinity for each other.
here he is in the livingroom hangin' with a Mignola and some other art
on the other side - Guy Davis - the cover for Plague of Frogs 5 (skull vase by me)
the back, showing the pristine issue of UY101 signed by Stan
morna-san, that looks amazing! It really looks good with the other art on the wall. I'm picking mine up from the framers tomorrow, I hope it turns out ok.
Thanks! I can't wait to see it!
I was wondering if the matte was maybe a bit dark on mine but I think it's probably fine. It's so nice to have him home!
I'm not sure. I've heard that some peoples computers screen out photobucket. Are you posting from work - sometimes there's a filter on that won't let photobucket (and a whole lot of other things) through.
