I'm looking for artists and a question for Sakai-sama

Post by Spare Brains Wayne »

Greetings to all fellow Usagi fans. I've been reading the comic for longer than I easily remember, back to the backups for the Albedo comics if memory serves.

Let me give you some general background.

I am starting a game company called Spare Brains Games, my web site is located at www.SpareBrains.biz. You're all welcome to check out the site, I will warn you that it is quite minimalist: I believe in high speed for modem users so at this time there are no graphics on the site. Not a one.

Anyway, I have four games in late development right now, basically I'm needing to do final edits and they're ready to go to print and thence to distribution. The games are all card games to which you supply dice and tokens, not dissimilar to Cheap BADWORD games.

But I do need one more thing: art work. I have a link on my site discussing this, and if you are an artist or aspiring towards being one and have any interest in my games, I'd love to hear from you. But please keep in mind that it would be an overstatement to say that I am starting this company on a shoe string budget, it is an extremely frayed shoe string at best. Money isn't tight because there isn't any.

And now my question for Sakai-sama. I'm sure you don't remember me, usually we speak every year at San Diego, but I wasn't there last year and didn't catch up with you this year. I know you're insanely busy with your own projects, but I was hoping we might be able to come to an arrangement and that you might be able to do the art for one of my games, specifically, Sneezin's Greetings. Please email me through my site and we can discuss specifics.

Thank you all for your time. I cannot sufficiently praise Usagi, it is definitely one of the finest, and consistently finest, books in publication.

Brave move in this all-too visual medium-- good on ya.

Another vote in favour of your approach.
