I returned from France last night. Thank you, Fanfan, for taking care of me. I hardly got lost at all, this time. I almost did take the wrong train to Geneva, though.
I also met other members of the Dojo--Hans from Germany, and Pascal from Paris. Paquet printed up 4 different post cards. They also had bookmarks that were printed by Momie Manga in Lyon where I signed last year.
This one was strictly a business trip, and I'm glad I'm home so I don't have to work as hard.
I send in a more detailed travel report when I have the time.

Ahah i remember well, i asked Stan "Shogun Ikeda" in my french i pronouced "sho gun" not "sho goon"Colin Solan wrote:Great stuff, Fanfan. I like the sketch of General Ikeda with the falcon.
Stan replied me "who ?
-Ikeda
- But he died !"
then Stan added something like he didn't draw it for 10 years.
I am a big fan of Ikeda, and grassCutter has just been released here in France. I am glad to see his son in UY 21.
we met a lot of dojo members, that was cool !I also met other members of the Dojo--Hans from Germany, and Pascal from Paris. Paquet printed up 4 different post cards. They also had bookmarks that were printed by Momie Manga in Lyon where I signed last year.

I missed the bookmarks... Was it Usagi bookmark ?
i am sorry you worked so hard (...), the good thing is that you impressed a lot of media here, even the popular and selective Manga-news made your promotion (in fact you are the only one artist they promoted on their website during the Japan expo...). And Coyote Mag with one year late will finally publish their article and interview.
I don't know if it is my imagination but everytime you come here i have the impression you got more and more fans.

Well, everybody seems to concentrate on SDCC, but I still feel the "aftershock" of Paris: today I received a big envelope from Fanfan with "Fathers and Sons" HC, the Spanish sketchbook, four French UY cards and some other goodies.
When I went to my fav comic store to show off the HC, they had the HC of "Treasure of Mother of Mountains" and UY #104 there for me! Whow, so much loot to carry home!
I would like to thank all those who made this possible, namely Sensei for the marvelous sketch and Fanfan for wrapping it all up and sending it here;
That made my weekend!!
