Usagi (and Gen's) appearances in the TMNT are over, at least for now. Well, it's strange that the first time I knew about Usagi was through his action figure from TMNT prior to his appearance in the old TV show.
Anyway, I don't mind if there are some gaps about Usagi's relationship with the turtles, specially Leonardo (my favourite too, though Raphael is one of my favorites turtles as well).
I find Green Shades pretty entertaining and I really love the scene when Michelangelo tells the other turtles about his discoveries in the UY world and the turtles begin to ask things like why a rabbit is like a human and then a horse is like a horse or the question about tails. Brilliant, I must say.
About that story with Usagi written by Peter Laird, sorry, I haven't read it... In fact, nearly none of the TMNT comics have come to Spain, but we know about the turtles from the old and new TV shows and the movies. A pity we don't have the comics to enjoy them (though I read the first one in a not-so-legal way and I liked it).
More about UY-TMNT crossover... I was told about the new TV show of the turtles that Usagi was going to make an appearance... It was the Big Brawl mini-saga, I think, but I was shocked when I saw Gennosuke as well. Shocked in a good way, I mean. And I was told that Tomoe has appeared in the series too (though briefly), but I think that season hasn't arrived in Spain yet.

Part 2 is more along the lines of the Big Brawl episode, but part 1 is really special for Usagi fans.
