Usagi Fan Figures
I'm a long time visitor to the dojo, but I haven't posted much. I thought I'd try my hand at making my own Usagi figure. I own all the official ones, but while I love them, I don't any of them quite capture his look (I LOVE Roel's statue, however). They're made of super sculpey and painted in acrylic. I'm thinking of doing other characters as well...I'm thinking maybe Gen next...? Let me know what you guys think!

Kool smenden! I bet that's quite tricky to do. Couple of mild criticisms: The painting looks a bit rough in spots and to me the base is a bit crowded. Still I think you did a good job, he looks more Usagi-ish than some of the other figures I've seen (pictures of).

Smenden, I think you did a great job. I also have all the collectible figures and statues and agree with your critique that none of them capture Usagi correctly. Roel's statues are amazing that Ino piece blew me away, as a collector I would love Roel's pieces to go into production. I applaud your efforts in trying to create a better likeness, I would love to see more.

Unfortunately, Mike, these are one-of-a-kind. I do have a question for all you guys on the board, though (particularly Stan). Would you have a problem with me auctioning these off on eBay? I sell my custom figures on there from time to time, and I was thinking of offering these up for sale since the response has been positive. I usually don't make very much money on them, but I really enjoy making them and I like the thought of my creations being all over the world. Also, I'm always working on new ones and I run out of room to keep them anyway
If you guys think it would be wrong to do this, just say the word and I'll nix the idea. I just wanted to check since Usagi's not my property. Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks!
