I agree with shaxper, Usagi should win...but Groo would probably just knock over some stuff and it'll fall on Usagi, knocking him out.

I would bet on Usagi too. Groo may be strong, but dumber than a rock. Usagi would outsmart AND outwit AND outswordskill him!

Groo v. Usagi

Post by Gary G. »

Hi Folks!

I am a Groo fan interloper. Usagi is a highly principled, highly disciplined, highly skilled and courageous warrior. A Hero fo the first order. Groo is an idiot. His only redeeming qualities are his loyalty to Rufferto and that he occaisionally remembers to try and do the right thing, although he almost always fails and when he doesn't it was an accident. However, he is a sword savant. No one in his world can match his swordsmanship except Chakaal. The same is not true of Usagi in his world. But...

Groo v. Usagi is going to be a gag page. Stan can be very funny and Sergio is genius level funny, so my prediction on the outcome is...it will be a very, very funny page.

I'm a longtime Groo fan and a brand new Usagi newbie so I gotta reserve my decision on this debate until I catch up on the whole Usagi run.....haha

Although since this is Usagi's forum stomping grounds, I gotta say the rabbit has an edge over Groo in the brains and swordsmanship department. Yet groo is so dumb and frantic in a fray, sheer luck might win this battle.

This is a tough one! Maybe Groo would win!....lol

Over the years, I think this topic has been the subject of a lot of convention drawings.......
Here is a Groo drawing that a friend, Mike Gray, sent
me. It was drawn at the 1989 San Diego Comic-Con with
drawings by Sergio and me, a poem by Mark, and
coloring by Tom.
