My Usagi Art (Indiana)

Post by Tinlantern »

Let me preface this by saying my main artistic influences growing up were Stan Sakai, Berkely Breathed, Winsor McCay, and Bill Watterson. Obviously Mr. Sakai's work was foremost since my cartoons generally resemble his techniques.

This is Usagi on a tractor (I live in Indiana). And then something I drew for a friends wedding invitations.

Let me know what you think.

Wonderful. I'd like to think this is what Usagi does for fun after a hard day of wandering.

Nice! Love Usagi on a tractor. Grasscutter indeed!

I agree, well done with the art. The invitation is funny, but the one with Usagi on the tractor is awesome. Usagi in work boots, whoda thunkit?

the tractor itself is great - I couldn't draw a tractor if one was sitting in front of me - well maybe then, but certainly not out of my head! Check out the brand of tractor as well!

So that tractor picture was sitting in my scanner this whole time. I took out the watercolors and painted it. Oh yeah, and I removed the hat from the original. I didn't like the way it looked.

And here is the reason I went to the scanner. I am making a comic for a friend out of the "Mariner's Revenge" song by the Decemberists. Pretty adult themes though.

Really good indeed, both B&W and colored version.

The story from the song looks good too.
