Does anyone read Hong Kong comics?

Does anyone here read comic books from Hong Kong? I like Hong Kong cinema a lot, but I've never read very many HK comic books. I once picked up a big pile of old Jademan comics for about $2 or so from a comic book store that was going out of business that included some issues of "Force of Buddha's Palm" and stuff like that. I thought that the artwork in some of them was pretty cool, but story-wise I found them to be pretty much incomprehensible (and they seem to be decent translations, so that isn't why they're incomprehensible). Every once in a while, I'll pull out one of these comics just to flip through it for the artwork, but I'm usually not very interested in actually reading them. Of course, it probably doesn't help that these comic books probably have fairly long story arcs and that the issues I have start at about #20 or so. I usually prefer comics more like UY and Groo that tend to have more self-contained stories that a person who has never read an issue before can understand fairly easily.

Are there any "Manhua" titles that that are real "must-reads" for comic book fans? So far, they seem to be an acquired taste that I haven't acquired yet.

I had a friend in elementary school who used to bring Hong Kong comics to us all the time. The coolest one was called, I think, Hong Kong Fight Academy. It was about these high school kids who always beat the crap out of each other at the schoolyard for whatever thing happened to be irking them at the time. It was an entire comic dedicated to beatdowns, and that still amuses me on some level. Shame I can't find any info on it on the net anywhere.
