Warner Bros. has movie rights to Jeff Smith's Bone

Post by Jet_Jaguar »

According to a story in The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros recently acquired movie rights to Jeff Smith's Bone. It sounds like it's pretty early in the production process, and it'll probably be a while before the movie is actually finished, but this is still interesting news.

I haven't read much Bone, but I did check out a TPB from my local public library once, and I thought that it was pretty good.

"Pretty good" is putting it mildly.

I'm of two minds about this (as I am with most comic book movies), but I still think that if it's done right, it can be excellent. I just pray it's not CGI. Or worse, live action with CGI Bones. Ugh.

I agree. It should be done primarily with hand-drawn animation, to help keep the charm.

On last week's appearance on Fanboyradio, Jeff Smith mentioned he wanted to see a "Bone" movie in 2-D:
