Yo, Dojo People! I would like to know everyone who reads this post to tell me your favorite Usagi story and why it's your favorite! Mine, personally, is Grasscutter II because I liked the idea of Usagi, Gen, and Sanshobo delivering the sword of the gods to Atsuta Shrine while being attacked by the two strongest ninja clans.

My all time favorite would have to be issue #11 from Fantagrphics, the Tea Cup featuring Usagi and Gen. I love this story because it is an all-out tribute to my other favorite comic series - Sergio Aragones' Groo the Wandereer. It was also the first issue of Usagi I ever bought, because of the Catnippon back-up story by Sergio.
After that, my favorite would have to be split between the two-part "Homecoming" story from Critters #10 and 11 (UY Book 1) and the four-part "Circles" story from Fantagraphics issues #28-32 (UY Book 6). I realy like the way Stan slowly unfolded the story of Usagi's relationship with Mariko, Kennichi, and Jotaro.

My all time favorite stories (for it really spreads over more than two TPBs) are the Usagi/Jotaro stories from Travels with Jotaro and Fathers and Sons. Sensei's depiction of their relationship and how they both try to tell the other their secret (but both are unable to do so), finally Usagi's departure...
Priceless, highly sensitive....

This a tough one for me. I like the entire Grasscutter saga (spanning from TPBs 11 through 15). I also like the Koji saga that intertwined with that. "Daisho" was the first TPB I bought, so that has a special place in my heart...Of course, I also love the Sasuke stories...
Gosh, there's just so many great stories I can't pick just one.

One of my favorites is "Noodles," partially because it's the first UY story I ever read. I would also consider it the most emotionally wrenching UY story to date. About 11 years ago (I was about 17 years old, and I had never read many comic books other than the occasional Marvel title and a few of the Dark Horse Alien Vs. Predator comics), I picked up the Dark Horse UY #1 issue on a whim, and "Noodles" showed me that this wasn't just another "funny animal" comic book.

A lot of my favorites are the little ones-- the short stories, especially if there are tokage in them. I think "Zylla" is my favorite of those, plus the one where the tokage help Usagi against some bandits, and he buys them noodles and such at the inn.
But as for story-- I'd say "Shades of Green".
