100 ways to Draw Manga Eyes

Post by Maka »

Hello UYD,

I'm obviously wasting time waiting for my laundry to dry so I can finishing packing for tomorrow's trip. YouTube is good like that.

From our friend Mark Crilley:

Crilley's videos are pretty nice. I think I've learned more from them than from any art class I've ever taken in my life.

I'd love to be able to draw like Osamu Tezuka or Leiji Matsumoto or another one of the manga legends from the 60s/70s. I've made a few attempts at drawing in that style, but I'm not quite there yet. It's probably best to start simple. I think Tezuka is a good model for drawing in a manga style because his style really has an elegant simplicity.
