Hardest Issues Of Usagi To Find?
Recently lucked into a Fantagraphics issue #1 for $6 and it got me to wondering. Next to Albedo #2 what has been the hardest issue for you to find, and what would you be willing to pay for that one elusive gem? I thought for sure this #1 would be a hard one to get ahold of without paying an arm and a leg, but I guess not.

I don't remember the specific issue number, but one of the last issues I found for my collection was something like Fantagraphics #17, 18, or 19. I remember that it was one of the issues in the middle of the Dragon Bellow Conspiracy story-line, and it took me a long time to eventually find one.
This was back in the early to mid 1990's, and ebay and internet shopping were still unknown (to me at least). I actually bought a copy of the Book 4 tpb because I could not find the missing issue for so long, and I also though the book would contain the water color story "Return to Adachigahara".
I think I have bought the last 120 odd issues pretty much upon release.
(Now, if I had only bought the hardcovers that way as well)

I found "Shell Shock" several months ago at Comics Unlimited-- IN THE NEW RELEASE SECTION! I thought, maybe this is a reprint for the upcoming anniversary, as it was with a bunch of the (at that time new) Mirage Turtle compliations that were coming out-- but nope, it was the original, and sold for original cover price.
I mentioned it to the clerk, and he just thought perhaps it was a reprint as well-- BWA-HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! *huggles "Shell Shock"*!
It wasn't even in a bag, and it was NICE! Looked almost new.

ashcan
Hardest Usagi comic for me to get my hands on has been the Space Usagi ashcan edition second series #1 from Mirage. NOT the Dark Horse ashcan with the blue cover; this one has a yellow cover and says "ashcan" right on the front. Usagi is pictured riding a space lizard on the cover.
Anyone have an extra copy? I'd pay $20 minimum to get a good clean example! (Yes, its that hard to find . . . )

Re: ashcan
I finally got my refund through Paypal from the ebay seller whom I bought the lot of ashcans from because it supposedly contained the Mirage ashcan. So I am technically still looking for a copy of it as well, even though I am not very obsessed about it.Shadowfax wrote:Hardest Usagi comic for me to get my hands on has been the Space Usagi ashcan edition second series #1 from Mirage. My list
For me, the Radio Comix Art of UY #1 has been very elusive. Color Sp. #3 was elusive for awhile till I ordered it directly from Fantagraphics when they had a big sale back in March. Dark Horse Extra UY issues have been hard to track down too. Shell Shock is tough to find though a couple have sold on Ebay recently for way more than I am willing to pay.
Does Sensei have a list of what he does have in his garage for sale? I'd love to upgrade some poor quality copies if he has some really nice ones!
