Kansas City--what to bring

Post by Stan Sakai »

The Groo Guys will be going to Mo-Kan in about a month:

Anyone here going? If so, and you want me to bring anything specific, let me know by adding to this thread or PM me directly.

That goes for Groo stuff as well as Usagi.

PM Sent, Sensei.

I didn't mention any Groo stuff, but I will likely pick up some Groo stuff there. I know that Sergio and most others do not do free sketches any more but I was wondering if it would be in the realm of possibility of getting a Usagi vs. Groo sketch by their respected artists?

We have done many of these as commissions. There have even been a couple of times where I would draw Usagi, Sergio drew Groo, Mark would write some caption, and Tom would color it.

That's really cool! I know it is last minute, and you all have jobs to do, but is a commission like that something that could be thrown together in time for the Mo-KAN? If so, I would love one. :D

That is something we would have to do at the convention. You would have to ask for it pretty early since it requires coordination between all four of us.

Thank you, Stan, for answering that for me. I sent you a PM regarding that.

I was curious if any other dojo members were going to be attending all the way here in KC?
Oxthowe, I saw you were talking about it way back, you still coming?

Been awhile since I've been on the forum and it looks like I got back just in time! :D

Yes, I'll definitely be going. I hope to see both Monkey and hayabusa there, and maybe some other Dojo members! Stan, if it's not too much trouble, could you bring copies of Usagi Yojimbo TPBs 8, 10, 15, 19, and 20? And maybe also Groo: Hell on Earth #2? Sorry to ask this of you last minute.
