Whow, just three bids and over 160 US $ already....

Maybe I'm just a little confused or stupid (or both), but is that the only way to obtain a Hulk comic with Stan Sakais contribution?!

:?: :? :?:

To clarify, this item is part of the fundraiser for the Hero Initiative, a charity that benefits comic creators who're down on their luck. They distributed blank "sketch cover" editons of this new Hulk #1 to comic artists who then drew an original piece, like the one Stan has done here.

So what you're getting is a one-of-a-kind piece of art plus the money goes towards a good cause.

The little Hulk face on the back cover kills me.

I completely forgot to snipe on this... bugger. Still, who knows if it might reappear in the future. And it allows me to save for something else down the line...

It'd be interesting to see a listing of what all the various covers ending up selling for.

On Ebay if you do a search for hero initiative and then check 'completed listings' you'll find everything in the last month. I did a search like that a few days ago and saw how much the earlier ones sold for.

Wow. I know people enjoyed Dale's Hulk with Peter David, but $4,650.00 for a close up? Good for Hero Initiative!

How much of that do you get to write off for taxes :?

In this country charitable donations are tax exempt which you can claim at the time of donation (based upon the tax bracket you occupy for your working salary), but I don't know how that affects foreign donations (if I had won the cover for example).
