Join Us On November 2nd For The 4th Boston Comic Con!

Just after Halloween, the Boston Comic Con returns on November 2nd! We are pleased to announce a pair of great special guests: Bernie Wrightson and Peter Laird! Better yet, Peter Laird will be accompanied by the entire Mirage Studios creative team!

Boston Comic Con Welcomes Peter Laird And Mirage Studios!

In the 1980's, no comic book turned the comic world on its collective ear like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Originally intended as a parody, it took on a life of its own spanning an unbelievable line of toys, movies, and cartoons featuring a team of mutant turtles named Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello. We are pleased to announce as our special guest, Peter Laird, co-creator of this continuing phenomenon.

Not only is Peter Laird attending, but he will be accompanied by his whole creative team at Mirage Studios. Mike Dooney, Jim Lawson, Eric Talbot, Dan Berger, Steve Lavigne, and Steve Murphy have all contributed to making the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles not just another superhero team, but pop culture icons.

Come meet Peter and the Mirage Studios players as they make their first visit to the Boston Comic Con! Cowabunga!

Just Announced: Special Guest Bernie Wrightson!

What better time than Halloween weekend to welcome one of the greatest living horror comic artists in the world. We are terrifyingly happy to present the master of macabre himself Bernie Wrightson. Wrightson, who is perhaps best known by many comic fans for his creation of Swamp Thing with Len Wein, and his stints on magazines like Heavy Metal, Eerie, and Creepy, went on to develop himself as a master of adapting stories by Lovecraft, Edgar Allen Poe, Mary Shelly, and Stephen King.

You have a great line-up of guests. Say "hello" to Peter and the Mirage guys for me. While you're at it, give my regards to Billy Tucci and Paul Ryan. Paul has the most beautiful pencils I have ever seen. He used to pencil the Spider-man Sundays, and it was always a joy to see what he had done. It was a shame to have his pencils inked over, even by Joe Sinnott.

Fanfan, we'll see about photos. I'll actually be selling off part of my collection so I'll be pretty busy but usually someone's taking photos for the show.

Steve, pretty much everyone there has already done something for my UY sketchbook. The Mirage guys even know me as "the Usagi guy" by this point. We'll see.

Glad you like that one. It's by Scott Wegener who is blowing up on the Eisner-nominated Atomic Robo, who will incidentally also be at the Boston Comic Con....
