Yep, Stan must have forgot about those puppies...Steve Hubbell wrote:Stan Sakai (in his LiveJournal) wrote:I have done almost 180 Usagi Yojimbo comics in my almost 25 years, but only 4 or so issues have had wrap-around covers.

Does Stan sell roughs of covers? I really love that rough for UY 119 and would happily add it to my slowly growing office wall of Usagi if there was a possibility it was available. Both versions are just fantastic!Todd Shogun wrote:Actually I just posted the rough version that inspired the UY 119 cover. Go check it out. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.Mayhem wrote:That's terrific... though initially the word "braaaaaaaaaains" sprung to mind heh... Usagi fights off the zombie hoard 17th century style
Thanks!

That's the answer we were waiting for.theGreatMutoh wrote:Were not issues #46 & #47 wrap arounds that also went together to form one big poster? I am fairly new to the Usagi world, so I am not 100% positive. Would those count?

Send me a PM with the address were you would like your "Usagi Yojimbo Book 22: Tomoe's Story" promo poster to be mailed to.

I'm hard-pressed to believe how any cover besides #101 could possibly win. Jeisagi just rocks the planet.Todd Shogun wrote:Maybe we need a contest on the Best UY Cover ever created?Maka wrote:Todd Shogun wrote: Your wait is over... full color version is now online and even more breathtaking!![]()

Stan never ceases to amaze me, great cover! Periodically I'll take a picture of an online image, such as this fantastic cover, and use it as a wallpaper on my phone. They translate really well in that form and are a good way to introduce folks to characters like Usagi. This one is a given.
(My apologies for my absence, I've been moving across town and its taken me the better part of a month to get everything packed and moved. Now that I'm finally moved in I hope to sit back and unwind with some great Usagi tales.)
