Mr. Fun

Post by Stan Sakai »

Floyd Norman, aka Mr. Fun, has a wonderful website which today features the Groo Gang:

I have known Floyd for almost 30 years. He is one of my regular lunch buddies, and I dedicated one of my books to him and his wife Adrienne. He is also a Disney Legend, having been given that official title about a year and a half ago. He has worked in animation all his life, since the 1950, and was the first African-American hired at the studio. He had also worked at Hanna-Barbera and his own studio. He is currently a consultant at Disney and also for the now-being-built Walt Disney Museum in San Francisco. His website is a fount of information about the old days of animation and Disney in particular:

The nom de plume Mr. Fun was given him by another lunch buddy, Scott Shaw!
