Baltimore--what to bring

I do not have many "con drawings" left after San Diego and Prague. I do have original covers and higher end drawings. I will be bringing sketchbooks and copies of Books 1 and 2.

Is there anything in particular you would like me to bring for you?

I will also be doing a presentation on Sunday, early afternoon.

If you do have any early printings of the Yokai book I would be interested in getting an autographed copy. Beyond that I love to ask for art, but not sure I have enough to afford an original of any kind. Be cool if you had any copies of the 25th anniversary poster.

Do you still have any copies of Shell Shocked? I've been looking for it for a while. A couple of the latest sketch books, of course. And if you happen to have any of the Mirage series #1 Space Usagi *ashcan* comics, the one with the yellow cover, Usagi riding a dinosaur . . . its harder to find than Albedo #2.

I have not been able to find copies of Shell Shocked for a couple of years. I know I have them, but have no idea where. As for the Space Usagi ashcan, I just have a couple for my own archives. I have more copies of Albedo 2.

I never thought about how it can be hard for the creator to be able to get a hold of stuff from his own work. I guess my naive little fantasy always thought "heck I drew it so aside from my originals, I will always have at least a few published copies for myself."

Just came to mind sensei, when you said you only had a few copies of Space Usagi which were for your own archives. Sorry if my comment sounded convoluted or odd.

I wanted to know if it is ok to ask for a up front sketch from you in my sketch book, if I brought it. If not that is fine, but I have never really asked a professional for this, so not sure what the edicet really is on this.

I do have a few copies of UY 123 with the DH 100 dinosaur killing wrap-around cover. I will sell these for $4 at Baltimore (the regular edition is $3.50, but I don't want to deal with coins). Unsigned copies have been going for up to $15 on eBay.

I'm only bringing a few, so you will have to pre-order one.

I was talking to Matt Groening last Saturday, and he said he had bought someone's huge Simpsons collection on eBay because it contained a lot of merchandising he did not have.

I still do very quick head sketches along with my signature for free, but will charge for anything more than that.

That is really awesome! Man I got to get my act together and start pumping out my comic ideas, love to see some my ideas become collectible items. But that is really cool to hear that creators, like Matt Groening and you, are also big fans and collectors of your own stuff.
