He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (2002 version)

Post by SakuradaKaoru »

I bought it on DVD and it's just as awesome as I remember it being when I first saw it.

Good writing, plenty of references to the old show that veteran fans will enjoy, and for once, Prince Adam is at least 5 years younger than He-Man so nobody would notice the resemblance. And Cringer didn't talk (Cats/tigers lack the vocal chord and mouth structure necessary for human speech). I call the last two details improvements.

I'm surprised so many veteran fans seem to prefer the original. I tried to give the 1980's version a chance but the writing was typical of the 1980's (i.e. the usual "kids will watch anything" material) and WTF? How come nobody noticed Prince Adam and He-Man looked identical in the old version?

The reasons for the 2002 version's cancellation were bad toy sales and a bad time slot. The show itself was awesome.
Hmm... how to best express myself in signature form?

Well, I'm back. I need to get back into the series, been so long since I read volume 7.

So Stan contributed to He-Man? Maybe the old comics are better than the old cartoon. o.o
