Question!!!

Post by cynlee »

I'm not posting the link, because (a) I'm probably in the wrong part of the forum and (b) I'm too lazy to find out what the policy is about posting youtube links-- but on Nov. 21st they are FINALLY showing "Turtles Forever" on CW 4KIDS-- and I was wondering, Stan-- have you sold that painting you did for the project???

No I don't have the money to buy it, but I still am curious!

I don't think I still have it. Do you have it, Mayhem?

I do have the original one I did for the Turtles' DVD. It has only Leonardo (my favorite Turtle) in snowfall with a tokage.

If there is a rule against linking to YouTube, enforcement seems to be pretty lax since I do it all the time. Watch me link to something completely random and crazy! (Yes, it is "safe for work" in case you were wondering.)

Is Cynthia referring to the one also published in the Con book this year? This is one of the pieces I bought from you at this year's show :D

(and utterly superb it is too!)

Nope-- not that one-- the one he did for the "movie" with all four turtles in it--

Good to hear that you still have the Leo one, though. Wonder who bought the quartet? They were certainly lucky to be able to get it, it was beautiful!

Oh, and since Jet was kind enough to post probably the most disturbing commercial evah---

I looked in my closet, and I found I still have that DVD art with the four Turtles in snowfall. (I think they animated some falling snow on the DVD, though have not seen it yet).

Whenever I am asked about a piece of art, I immediately think, "Mayhem has it." I'm right half the time.

Oh yes, that one. I remember chatting with you about it Stan, and you mentioned doing the Leo piece and then being asked if you could do one with all four turtles instead. I recall seeing the Leo piece, that was brought to San Diego? Having spent most of my money is probably why I didn't add that to what I bought from you...

leonardo and tokage lizard

Post by coolray85 »

greetings!
I think I didn't get what dvd the leonardo and lizard peace is being used for?...can anybody tell me?...was it art for the dvd release of the turtles forever animated feature film or what?....and is the lil peter and stan picture containing usagi and leo tangled up in yokai-seeming like plants used for anything yet or was this more of a homage painting done by sensai to remember the special year for both usagi and turtles comic books?...

The Leo/Usagi piece was in the Comicon book this year, celebrating 25 years of TMNT. Well it was in that section, although it was the last entry, seguing straight into the gallery celebrating 25 years of Usagi ;)

Woohoo, saw the very picture today on "Turtles Forever"-- I missed it the first time I saw the movie-- I was so busy looking for it that I didn't notice the animated snow.

I am not sure which DVD or Turtles program you are talking about either.

Is this the same picture you are refering to?

YES-- and this time I got to see it in the montage! I was so busy watching that I forgot to note how they made it look as if it were snowing.

Gorgeous painting!

Oh, and yea, it was used in "Turtles Forever"-- there's a scene where Shredder is viewing the multiple dimensions, and there's a montage of all the different turtles drawn by other artists, as well as the four movie versions.

Different artists' take on the Turtles? I would have liked to have seen that. This is the second time I've missed seeing Turtles Forever because of conflicts. Any news of when the DVD will be out?
