TheHundreds signing

Post by Stan Sakai »

I finally got it confirmed that the clothing boutique theHundreds signing will be this Saturday, November 21 at their LA store at 7909 Rosewood, a block west of Fairfax from 11 AM to noon.

The first 25 people will receive a free copy of Yokai. They will also be selling the two new Usagi T-shirts designs, which are limited to 200 shirts each.

Will we be able to order the shirts from the Hundreds online store?

I sure hope so...

Very interested in ordering the new shirts, as well. I hope they'll at least do mail order.

I'm not sure if I'm going to make it. I have the girls alone that morning. I trying to determine if it is worth it to take the girls with me for a 1.6 hour drive (and knowing me, I'll get lost) and then drive back another 1.6 hours. I could do easily but that might be cruel and usual punishment for the girls. The Usagi swag is tempting. And to get the Yokai GN signed by Stan is cool as well.

Maybe I could find a good Korean BBQ restaurant in the area. That might seal the deal. ;)

Oh well, I have a few days to decide.

Peace, maka

Korean BBQ sounds good. Let me know if you are able to make it. Maybe we can have lunch together. I do not know that area at all, aside from Canter's Deli. Farmer's Market and The Grove is just down the street.

Please help?

Post by go »

Dear Readers,
Would it be possible to impose on one of our Dojo members to please pick up both shirts for me?
I wear an XL or XXL if they are out of XLs.
I have emailed the store but they have not answered.
I am happy to pay for the shirts, shipping and some extra cash for your time.
Please pm me if this is a possibility.
Thank you very much in advance for your consideration.
Best wishes,
go

I second this. I wear size 2xl if anyone could attain any of the shirts, (preferably in black but anything works), please let me know. I should hope that 2xl is not as commonly purchased & therefore should be accessible. I beg of you, if anyone is willing I too will give extra cash for the trouble. Remember, this will bring good karma! Thank you kindly for consideration. Living in the south has made collecting somewhat harder as there isnt much of a field for it here. NY, (my homestate), was a much better setting for it but I digress.

They've updated their website with pictures of the t-shirts. It appears that the samurai design will come in black and blue, and the straw cape with tokage will come in black and white.

LOVE the designs (I'm especially psyched to see a Tokage on the second one), but I can't say I'm all that psyched about having "THE HUNDREDS" in giant letters on the front. What exactly is The Hundreds? Just a store, or is there more to it?

A few more press about the signing:

CBR: Repost official PR:

And just reminder to Usagi Yojimbo Dojo fans in Nor Cal, the shirts will be on sale at the Hundreds store in San Fran as well.

Just came from The Hundreds.

Saw Maka and a couple other dojo members.

Shirts are $34.00, at least for L's and XL's.

Not sure what other sizes they have in stock.

They had all 4 shirts in stock at the signing.

Forgot to ask about online availability for purchase, sorry had to rush to work.

Thanks Stan, great as always.

The Hundreds has pictures of the day up:

Notice that Stan delayed his vacation to be at this signing. Have a great vacation Stan and enjoy Japan. It was great to see you again and meet Hannah.

Hannah and I enjoyed having lunch with you and your family. I was very pleasantly surprised to see so many Dojo members who stopped by the signing.

I will be getting a few comps of the T-shirts. We'll have to think of a contest with T-shirt prizes when I return.
