Cartoon Art Museum buttons

Post by Stan Sakai »

The Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco is selling 1" Usagi pin-back buttons. They are b/w with Usagi's face, and "Cartoon Art Museum San Francisco, CA around the border.

I don't know how much they are, and I could not find them on their site. They are probably sold in the gift shop. So, if you ever find yourself in the Bay Area drop in.

The Art of Stan Sakai exhibit runs to the beginning of July.

Well, I ordered a batch of 20 of these buttons by phone from the museum gift shop at the beginning of June for $2 apiece. July is almost over and I still have not received them. :?

I have called several times over the past month and inquired about them and have just gotten a big run around - I am ready to ask the credit card company to initiate a dispute over the payment.

I am really bummed out over the whole purchase since I had planned on sending them on to other dojo members who might have been interested. :(

Perhaps Roel or someone who lives near could go to the museum directly, and help Steve.

I eventually received a replacement package from the museum with some of the postcards which the museum used to announce the exhibit, most of which have been forwarded on to other Dojo members along with the christmas cards and / or Yokai book plates.

As far as the buttons, they sent me three more with the postcards. The initial package of twenty butons was apparently lost in the mail somewhere between them and me. :?

Sorry Fanfan, I forgot to include one of the buttons in the last package I mailed you.

The buttons were made by a supporter of the museum, with my approval, and donated to the CAM.

I do have a few buttons, though not many--only about 10. We'll have to find some way to distribute them. Any one in the US want to take on the role of distributor, or organize some sort of contest?

I had planned on distributing some originally, but the batch the museum sent me was lost in the mail and all I ended up receiving was a package with the last three buttons they had in stock.

I can distribute any of the buttons you have if you can decide who you them sent to. I also have two extra buttons which will go to Fanfan and Thomas, eventually.
