Forgive me for my ignorance on this one, but is Usagi going to be in one of the FCBD comics this year?

Not this year, but I will be giving away copies of one of the old color specials and (maybe) those 25th anniversary posters there.

There will be a Mouse Guard (twinned with Fraggle Rock) comic this year though for all you MG fans...

Recalling the "comments" made by MG's creator just before Stan's panel last year (when the guards insisted that we who were waiting HAD to freaking enter NOWNOWNOW before the MG panel was over)-- Imma pass on that issue.

But I do want to go to the one Stan is at. Will the plushies be on sale there as well?

The plushies are not scheduled for stores until after the signing, but TFAW will be advance-shipping a couple of dozen just for the event. These will be the first ones on sale anywhere.

What comments? By Petersen? I was there, but I don't recall any disparaging comments. Now if you had trouble with the hired security at SDCC, join the crowd. They are lousy most of the time, but should have no bearing on your feelings toward MG. MG is awesome!

Wish I could make this signing, but it falls on my last class meeting for Physics. :(

Well then, HOPEFULLY I can be one of the few to buy one! *makes plans*

Sorry, I should have been plainer... concerning the remarks he made about TMNT and Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman, rather. We were (well, except for me in my Dojo shirt) decked out in our TMNT stuff.

Well you beat me to it (we've been busy with Wondercon AND Wizard World Anaheim looming...) BUT yes Stan will be at

Things From Another World
1000 Universal Studios Blvd, Universal City, 91608

from 3-5pm on May 1st, Free Comic Book Day!

I'd recommend the metro (there's a station at the bottom of the hill leading up to Universal and a shuttle brings you up) or valet parking. Valet is $2.00 the first hour, then $7.00 for the next hour and a half after that. Parking is ridiculous, and sadly out of our control.

Stan will be giving away some Usagi Fantagraphics color special's on top of all of the FCBD comics that are free that day.

We'll also have a bunch of Usagi merchandise for sale :
-Usagi Dark Horse 100 Special Ed (was limited to only 1,000 copies)
-Brand new early release Usagi Yojimbo plush
-All of the New Usagi statues from Roku toys
-Usagi vinyl toys, trades and back issues
AND we'll have a limited number of the Usagi plush BEFORE street date

On top of that with any purchase we'll be giving away the 25th anniversary poster (while supplies last)

Also appearing-

10 AM - 12 PM: Artist Drew Johnson (Wonder Woman, Fantastic Four, Star Wars: Infinities)

2 PM - 3 PM: Writer Marc Andreyko (Dark Horse Comics' upcoming Predators series, Streets of Gotham, Manhunter)

Hope to see some Dojo Members there!

Anyone who orders from Dark Horse should be able to order them. I don't see why there would be any region specifics...

Woohoo!!!

http://www.citywalkhollywood.com/dining/pinks.html

I've lived in L.A. area since 1988 and I've still not eaten at Pink's-- not even LAST year when I went to Free Comic Book Day at Golden Apple, who is practically across the street from them!

With any luck, I shall score a Plushie, eat at Pink's, and get my free comics in one fell swoop!
