Our hard working waitress beginning the lengthly process of cashing out the dinner party. Definitely a very frustrating job which I know I did not envy.
Stan giving Shaxper's friends some quality time down at the far end of the table.
Shaxper's daughter thought we were all nuts for not wanting to take a nap after eating.
We had a little extra time while the bill was taken care of.
Of course, my nephew Jacob was not having any fun at all!
MikeM's friend decided he wanted to give a try at drawing Usagi.
I have to say that I would be hard pressed to find another group of people this great to spend a three and a half hour meal with!
I hope everybody else who participated enjoyed it even half as much as I did!

Thanks for making all of our weekends as magical as it was, Stan. These are the memories that stay with us for years and decades to come.
And thank you Shaxper, for organizing such a great dinner!
Great pics Steve. It looked like you guys had a lot of fun. I thought about it too late but I wished I had sent you guys some posters of my toys that I had made.
Good to see you've had a great time; Do I spot some preview page of the up coming HC on that diner table?

I wanted to do something to commemorate this Dojo dinner, so gave everyone there an untrimmed, signed signature plate from UY Book 24. Thank you everyone who was at Motor City. I had a great time at the convention, and at dinner. The food was wonderful, and the companionship even better.
I received some really neat stuff at the con. I will post some of them later.
It is about 4 AM, and I just got home. Sergio brought me home, so Hannah would not have to pick me up at the airport at 3 in the morning (Sharon is in Hawaii, taking care of her mother while her sister attends her daughter's graduation in Philadelphia). Sergio still has another 2 hour drive ahead of him.
I can't go to sleep just yet. I have two Spider-Man Sundays to letter and send out this morning.
Jennie and I had a GREAT time! We are very lucky to have met you all. Sometimes when it seems there are few good, friendly people left in the world, we go and meet a ton of new folks who are pleasant and thoughtful! . . . and you're all people from an internet forum no less!! Usually those folks are CraZy!!1! You've all helped me find comics, have answered questions, and invited me to a way cool get-together!
Meeting Stan was great, as well! Thank's, Mr. Sakai for hanging out with all of us! I can't see many celebrity/artist/actor types doing something like that with fans, and I am very grateful that you share yourself and your skills with us. I'm hoping to see you again at a convention in the future! It makes me happy when I hand my hard earned cash directly to you. Your talents are worth it!
I'm hoping to learn everyone's name so we're next year when we meet again at Novi!! Thank you all! Now back to trolling. (haa haa)

This. You know its funny. I've been to a ton of these cons, but this one by far was my favorite. And I think its because I did things differently this year. I spent most of my time in back talking to the creators. I kept running into my customers, and one of them remarked "Jenn, every time I saw you, you had this huge grin on your face!"
I spent maybe a half hour browsing vendors, and the rest of the time in the back. It was an awesome experience that I'm still flying high from. Dinner was the icing on the cake.
