This years Motor City Comic Con T-shirt....

Stan showing of a drawing he received from another guest at the convention.

And when he thought the camera was put away....

Image
I stopped at Jay Fossitt's table and actually tried to buy this drawing as he was doing the finishing touches on it. I was unsuccessfully of course , but it went to a good home.

Everyone knows, two heads are better than one, especially when one of them is made by the amazingly talented Usagi and Groo fan Jason Nuttall.

Jason's head displayed on the really cool Thank You gift given to Stan by Dojo member Wildfire405.

Stan working on a sketch for a fan.....

And still working on the sketch, got to get it just right!

And of course the final sketch is as perfect as expected!

Thanks, Steve, for sharing your pictures from Motor City con -- and I'm very happy to see that everyone had a great time meeting Stan! I haven't been able to get back to Novi in several years... and I think Stan was at the last show I attended up there. He really gets around!!

I have an 8 x 10" of the Dojo meeting from San Diego from about five or six years ago -- and one of these years, I need to get Stan to autograph it for me... so I'll hope for that chance sometime soon.

My appreciations and thanks to Stan (and Sergio, too) for traveling out to the Midwest to see your fans! It's very thoughtful of you to take this time from your schedules.

Guess I should start trolling ebay to see if anyone's got one of those shirts for sale. I LOVE the bust of Stan!! Sooo cool!!

I've seen the shirts on ebay already. Try emailing the people at the MCCC web-site and see if they have any more that they will sell. They were selling them by mail prior to the convention and if they have any left, they might be willing to do so again.

If someone looks into calling the MCCC people asking about left-over shirts, let us know! If I remember after work I'll call on it.

I blew through my cash quite willy-nilly at the show and missed several opportunities including the shirt and comissioning a sketch from Mr. Sakai!

I have an extra T-shirt that will be a prize in an upcoming contest, so stay tuned. I only have an extra-large, though.

Hello UYDers,

Thank to Steve for posting the pictures here and in the other thread about the dinner. I'm glad everyone had a great time. One of my favorite things about conventions now is running into UYD members. Wonderful.

FYI - I never got around to preordering a t-shirt. I had printed it out but it work and family life took over and it just sat (filled out, mind you) buried under a mess of paperwork on my desk. So I called and sent this email off this morning:

Hello Jeff,

I failed to preorder a Motor City Comic Con 2010 t-shirt last month. It was sitting on my desk and life just got in the way. :)

I wanted to know if you all had any left and were willing to sell one to me. I figure it's probably too late but I thought it doesn't hurt to ask. I've left a voice mail as well on the phone number on the website.

I'm a huge Usagi fan (and I like Groo too, but I'm a HUGE Usagi fan). Thanks for your consideration. I look forward to your reply.

Peace, maka

I'll let you know their response once I get one. Peace, maka
