After much internet digging last night I may have located one of these ellusive hardcovers, but it is for sale from the Germany Amazon website. I know there are one or two fans on this forum living in Germany. Can somebody please contact me by pm so that I can try to secure yet another edition for my humble collection?

Thanks a ton!

Dear Furystorm,
Are you sure this is a signed limited edition?
Please be aware there are library editions that are hard backed but not signed and numbered.
Best wishes to all!

I've had a look at Amazon Germany right now and did find a number of HCs together with library bindings, which could be mistaken with signed limited HCs as Go pointed out; I'd be willing and able to help if need be; maybe you could provide me with the link to the book(s) you've been eyeing, so I could check it out.

And don't worry, my collection of HCs is complete, so I'm not a competitor in this...

The library editions also do not come with dust jackets, the embossing on the cover, or the end-papers on the inside of the covers.

They are basically the same as the trade paperback with the cover art reprinted on a more durable hard cover, originally designed for library usage.....

Thank you go, Thomas and Steve. Great advice all around. Thomas, I will pm you the link tomorrow when I have the chance to look it up again. I cannot read German, and would greatly appreciate the help. I think I have located one that I need in the right edition, signed. Also, I don't know about monetary conversion or shipping.

Cheers!

Added Brink of Life and Death, thanks to Thomas. And am awaiting Grasscutter and Shades of Death to arrive.

Still looking for these three hardcovers to complete my collection:

Space Usagi
Volume 17 Duel at Kitanoji
Volume 18 Travels with Jotaro

Hopefully I can pick these up directly from Sensei in the near future.

Again, a huge thanks to Thomas for helping me add two more to my growing collection, which arrived yesterday after an eternity in transit from Germany. Seems the shipper forgot to put my zip code on the package. But they did arrive immaculate and perfectly packaged.

Grasscutter and Shades of Death are on the shelf!

Hey! Get out of my thread you scoundrels. Just kidding.

On a sidenote, is everybody's Volume 9: Daisho noticeably shorter than the rest of the editions? It looks a bit out of place in by collection when they are all lined up on the shelf.

What? Daisho is one of the fattest HCs ever....someone must have torn out some pages from your copy!
Now I'm just kidding; seriously, since book 8 and 9 collect the Mirage comics only, these two where a bit thinner than others.

Height-wise, my copy of Daisho is about an 1/8 inch or so shorter than all the other Dark Horse Usagi hardcovers on my shelf.

Yes, Steve. That is exactly what I was talking about. I just wanted to be sure I did not have some strange anomaly in my collection. Since I did not yet have Shades of Death, it was not as apparent. But now that Daisho is sandwiched between two taller (or similar height) editions, it has become more noticeable. But I'm cool with it if that is the way things are.

Thanks for letting me know. :D

Been a few months since I was actively looking, but the arrival of Return of the Black Soul last week recharged me to pick up the search. This most recent hardcover was the first direct order for me.

Still need just these three...

Although I am very far behind on my reading. I suppose I will have a lot more time to catch up before my college studies start back up in earnest next Fall. That would be my goal at least, to have all my backlog read before school begins again.
