I found a picture of the Sam Kieth cover. I assume there isn't a picture for the 1/50 variant because its supposedly "hand drawn." Which is pretty cool. Hope I can get my boss to get 50 copies of #1 and not charge me a fortune for the variant hehe.

Is there a release date yet for the new series?

Just for fun, I decided to stitch the four normal covers together to get the composite, presumably what you can get from one of the limited editions...

4th of august the turtles kick start into their fifth volume.....
yep, as you must have read, too, one of the variant covers will be all turtles collected but I was curious if that was only going to be the usual individual covers for iss #1 connected or a new painting of the fab four....

It says double gatefold wraparound, which suggests four pages, ergo one continuous shot of the four individual images.

I ran across these over on the Technodrome forum, seems some of the turtle people think Hembecks cover reminds them of Stan Sakai's style. It would be pretty cool (in my opinion) if Stan did get asked to do a TMNT variant cover for IDW....

Covers for #2 revealed:

Ugh, god those covers are great! I sent in my stores special orders and a request that we get the 1/50 cover. I'd imagine that kind of order for issue 1 should be doable. If we get it I'll try to get it scanned before it gets sold. Now rather I have the cash for the special cover is another matter. I pre-paid for the awesome Sergio Batman that was in this month :D

thank you!that would be great!.....I am curious if some of the black and white covers of kevin eastman will be colored by him...I doubt it somehow as it needs time to do so and he has to run heavy metal as well...
I just LOVE his covers for issues 1 and 2 by him and the dan duncan covers, too....
did anyone take notice of the hembeck cover?it is an homage to an old daredevil cover froim frank miller...so back to the roots for our half shelled heroes.....;)
