Hi Stan,
Will you be offering a new print this year as well?
Thanks,
Steve

I did not have time to make a print this year. I barely had time for the sketchbook.

Sorry Cynthia, I hadn't gotten around to PMing you about what I was going to ask you to pick up for me from Stan. I think it's only going to be the sketchbook and the new hardcover, if you're okay with those two items. I can forward the money for the hardcover in advance if you need it.

Aside from that, there may be other non-Usagi bits, but I'll PM you about those...

I did an Usagi as Clint Eastwood's Bunny with no name.

I'll have it at the con.

Just a sketchbook #8 for me, and a few other things I've tried to PM you about Sensei, but it seems your inbox might be full right now.

Those looking to go next year... some rather shocking news. And some valuable information for those who buy their passes for the following year at the show (Todd et al)...

That is offically IT-- I will not be attending 2012. I honestly cannot afford that! MY God, it's just a comic-book convention! From now on, it's WonderCon and the Long Beach Comic-Con for me.

I don't need to see all the freaking Hollywood crap like Glee and Twilight and anything else. This... is just too much. I will find other ways to find m comic-book fix.

I agree. I don't have as long as a history (only been to SDCC once for the 25th UY anniversary) as many of you. So I'm not as traditionally tied to it. WonderCon was great this past year - I could get into every panel and they were all pretty good. I'll go to Long Beach this year and see how that one is. Peace, maka

Nice "Man With No Name" Usagi, I've wanted to see Stan draw something like that for a while now. I would have liked for Usagi to also be wearing the hat, but it's still pretty cool.

Now I just need for someone to commission a drawing of Usagi as Osamu Tezuka's Black Jack.

I thought of including the hat--but for just a second. I decided against it, because I did not want to cover Usagi's ears. The tied ears are what makes Usagi visually Usagi. That is, it is his most prominent feature. To have his ears stick out of his hat looks kinda silly, so I opted for a bare head.

I thought of doing a western Usagi. There would be no explanation of it, just a straight forward western story. I remember an episode of the old Prisoner series with Patrick McGoohan that was similar, but, of course, it was explained at the end.
