Mouse Guard!

Post by Stan Sakai »

I sent in the art for UY 144, and am now starting on my painted Mouse Guard 8-pager.

UY 144 is the last issue I will be doing for awhile. After a couple of collection covers, I'm starting on that (not so) secret project of mine.

I would be bummed out for the lack of new Usagi stories, but the new project sounds so awesome that it definitely makes up for it.

Will the project be a graphic novel or (hopefully) a mini series which will then be collected in a graphic novel?

I broke down and ordered 4 more volumes / 8 more episodes in the Toshiro Mifune 52 episode taiga drama of the story. If you ever get a chance, you should check it out.

What issue will your Mouse Guard story appear in so I know which book to look for?

It's for the next series of "Legends of the Guard". No specifics have been given yet about whose stories will appear in which issue, although a number of contributors, including Stan, are known to be confirmed.

Thanks, good to know. I've read some of the free editions of Mouse Guard on Comixology. Really liked it and been meaning to catch up on it. Now I have all the more reason to.
