Gallery of PJaensch

Here's my collection, as of today! The photos are from my cell phone camera, so they're less crisp than I'd like.

From Katsucon 2012:

I was fortunate enough to be the winning bidder on Stan's submission to the Katsucon 2012 charity auction.

From Baltimore Comic Con 2011:

I love snow scenes - probably because as a kid, snow always held out the promise of a day home from school having fun.

Image

From Boston Comic Con 2011:

This was a quick sketch Stan had done of Usagi in Sergio Leone style - I love the movement, and the nod to Leone's link to classic Kurosawa film

Image

This was a special commission Stan did for my wife - so technically just on loan to my gallery here from its proper owner. :)

Thanks. I was just lucky. The auction was not well organized, so, the usagi watercolor was the last item, but I suspect no one else knew it was coming, because they didn't have a catalog or even have everything on display in advance. So fortunately for me, I think most of the crowd had spent its con money already.

I know Stan also says that folks at Anime cons don't know who he is, but, come on, he was the feature artist for the whole con. At least someone there knows quality. :)

And I like your snow scene too!

The convention did forget about the art for the auction. I had told them beforehand I would donate the art for charity. When I got there, I told three senior staff, including the auction head, and they all assured me they would pick up the art at my table in Artist Alley.

When 11o'clock Sunday came around, and I still had it, I located a staff to have her run it up to the auction.

I'm glad you got it.

Me too. :)

Stan, I didn't realize when you told me that didn't take the art until Sunday morning that they actually waited until after the auction began. That is really shocking (although, it would shock you less if you had seen the auction in action).
