I won the lettering Eisner
I received the Will Eisner Award for Best Lettering at the San Diego Comic-con tonight. In my acceptance speech, I thanked Todd Klein because it was because of a magazine article he authored on "How to do Comic Book Lettering" that I learned to letter. Todd is the best in the business but was not nominated this year, or he would have gotten it for sure.
This is the fourth Eisner I received, but the first featuring the "globe" statue. The other three are plaques.
I was also nominated in the Best Continuing Series category, but did not win that one.
The food at the ceremony was delicious.

Congratulations for yet another prestigious award; I hope you've got enough shelf space left for it...

Re: I won the lettering Eisner
Well deserved. Your use of lettering as a part of storytelling is both above and beyond the ordinary - and at the same time subtle (it doesn't attract too much attention and disrupt the flow of the story).
