Usagi in TMNT season 3
I made this announcement at Comic-Con International: San Diego--
Usagi will be back for next season's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' tv show. Not only Usagi, but Gen will be back and, for the first time, Tomoe, Lord Noriyuki, Lord Hebi, Chizu and the Neko Ninja clan, the bat ninja clan, the mole ninja clan and (in a cameo appearance) our two intrepid woodcutters. And that's all in one episode!
Usagi will also be in another episode, and make a cameo in their Christmas show.

Or else everybody's just packin' up in the family station wagon and hoppin' a trip to the NYC...across a few centuries...

Leonardo will make a solo trip to Usagi's world. Drawing all the Turtles, as well as all the guest stars, would drive even the wildly talented animators at 4Kids crazy.Steve Hubbell wrote:Sounds like the Turtles are going to go visit Usagi this time???Stan Sakai wrote:I made this announcement at Comic-Con International: San Diego--

I think this episode will be really great and hopefully, it can be made available as a stand alone video / DVD as opposed to being available only as part of a full season set...Stan Sakai wrote: Leonardo will make a solo trip to Usagi's world. Or maybe "Turtle Soup and Rabbit Stew" in Mirages' Turtle Soup #1, except there appears to be a lot larger cast of characters scheduled to appear in the upcoming (hopefully really soonTodd Shogun wrote:Sounds almost like a take on Stan's "The Treaty" in Mirage's Shell Shock.

Seems like only Usagi, Leonardo, Tomoe, and miscellanious (and quickly deceased) ninja appeared in either of those stories.

That reminds me: even though this is a cartoon about Ninjas and errant violence, are you really allowed to kill anybody in a swordfight? Or do the studio heads discourage that?

Have seen the TMNT series with Usagi and Jen!!! :>
Stan,
Those of us here in Australia have recently seen the new series of TMNT that stars Usagi and Jen!! :> I enjoyed these episodes, however, I would have prefered to hear Usagi's voice a little bit more traditional Japanese accent and Jen could have been a little more arrogant sarcastic sounding! But overall, I enjoyed the series!!! :>
I am waiting to see the next episodes with your other characters on our screens soon!! Ask channel 10 here in Australia to let us see these other episodes soon because, unfortunately, channel 10 has gone back to the beginning of season 1? and this is most annoying!
Thanks, Stan!! :>

UY Sketchbook at Bud Plant
Bud Plant Comic Art will be carrying the Usagi Yojimbo Sketchbook. I hadn't planned on offering them to dealers, but I've dealt with Bud for at least 25 years. He is the oldest, most reliable, and most reputable dealer that I know and his catalogs are wonderful treasure troves of current, and eclectic merchandise.
I believe his website is:
www.budplant.com
The UY Sketchbook is limited to a print run of 750 signed and numbered copies, each includes a head sketch of Usagi in pencil. It retails for $10 US.
The Sketchbooks were just sent off today, so it may be awhile before it appears on his site or his catalog.
