I see posts like this all the time on ebay. Does the seller really expect it to sell?

sadly there's a TON of sellers out there who price gouge. what's even worse is the fact that people actually buy their over priced items. essentially, this seller preys on people who have money to spend and/or very little patience. sometimes i myself will spend a few extra bucks on an item just so i can buy it now instead of having to wait until the auction ends and waste time in a bidding war. all of that dudes stuff is over priced. granted not AS over priced as the book shown.

I wrote to one of those sellers once and as I understood it they do it on purpose because of lack of stock. It's cheaper and saves time to just keep listing it (a nickel cost?) rather than pull it and repost it. So, I believe that is why we see weird overpriced aberrations like that.

'For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus –who died on the cross for all our sins), that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but, have eternal life.' -John 3:16 (New Testament - Bible)
