Re: mid ohio comic con
I won't be there this year. I will be in Spain for a comics festival in Madrid. Mid-Ohio is a wonderful convention. I've been there many times before. Attendance ranges from 4-5,000. It has the nice, friendly atmosphere than San Diego used to have. Joe is right in that if you can make it to that show, please do so. Roger Price, the con organizer, really knows how to put on a show.gunblade007 wrote:hey everyone,

The convention area adjoins the Hilton Hotel, so you don't even have to go outside to get to the exhibits or dealers' rooms (except if some idiot pulls the fire alarm like they did about 5 years ago--it was snowing then, too). The Easton Town Center is right across the street. It's an enclosed shopping mall--big, very nice, with wonderful restaurants. Jeff Smith took us to an excellent sushi restaurant there a few years ago.gunblade007 wrote:hey stan,

As I said, Mid-Ohio is much smaller than San Diego--about 5,00 as opposed to SD's estimated 90,000. It's a terrific con. I'd be going there this year if not for Spain.
