Planning a Study Abroad to Tokyo

Post by madman31 »

Yeah, this is a year away, but I am planning a study abroad trip to take students to Tokyo next May. The focus of the class is Bidirectional Pop Culture Exchange between the US and Japan. I was curious if any of you who have been there recently might have recommendations tied to either Japanese pop culture (manga, maid cafes, baseball, whatever) or things affected by American culture. Museums, shops, really anything. I want this to be a fun trip that is somewhat off the beaten path and more than just a sightseeing trip.

I'd join =). Seriously though, my best friend is actually serving in the U.S. Airforce over in Japan. I could ask him, he'd defintely know for sure.
