Book 27

Post by Stan Sakai »

I received my Artist Proofs of the UY Book 27: A Town Called Hell hardcovers. They, along with the trade paperbacks, should be in stores in a couple of weeks. I will have these at the San Diego Comic-con.

I'm looking forward to picking up these up. It will feed my Usagi Yojimbo habit that has gone through withdrawal since the 47 Ronin (but I'm also looking forward the final issue of that too). Look forward to reading the introduction too.

Peace, maka

The TPB was actually available this week and the hardcover edition is now listed on Diamond's shipping list for next week.....
I picked up a copy of the TPB today to hold me over until the hardcover edition comes out (and to use as a birthday gift in a couple weeks).

I just picked my copy up today. I started reading book 1 about this time last year, and immediately fell in love. I went into a frenzy buying the rest of the books, and finished book 26 back in March. I've been longing to read more Usagi. I am looking forward to Books 28 and 29 to finish the current comic run. I assume it will be another year before we see book 28, and another year after that for 29?

Thanks!

Finally made it into the comic shop last Saturday (it's been over a month since I last went). Got the TPB for UY 27 and the Mouse Guard issue. I'm happy. :D

So Stan wrote the story but it's still about Mouse Guard? Explain this to me please. I don't know much about comics. I got everything Usagi though :). Secondly, I bought me my Usagi Yojimbo 27 HC through midtown comics as a pre order. I'm very happy however I won't get it till the end of the month. Doesn't matter to me though, I still am only up to Volume 17.

Legend of the Guard is an anthology series where David Peterson, the creator of Mouse Guard, invites other creators to create new stories of the Mouse Guard.

Recently, I got the Grendel Red, White, & Black TPB by Matt Wagner and was pleasantly surprised to find a Sakai story inside. Very good indeed.

About the Book 27 HC, what is the regular retail price for it? I found a copy online for $59.99 but didn't know if that was the regular price or had been marked up some.

I believe $60 is the standard price for a hardcover.
