Steve, Just wanted to confirm this email I received,
"...a test of the mass email features of the Usagi Yojimbo Dojo.
Anyone who receives this email and wishes to help,..."

Wanted to make sure it was legit, a find out about "wishes to help" with what?

I am trying to figure out if the mass email system actually still works before attempting to send out a message for Roel about his Usagi animation.....

I looked at the DojoList and the history doesn't show any emails being sent out recently. Where did you send the mass email from? I didn't receive a copy. I just sent out your message Steve to the current list (2000+ email addresses). Let me know if anyone got it!

I receive the email you sent, Todd, but I never received a copy of the "Test" email I sent through the Administrative control panel. I did receive one email reply in confirmation of the 'test" mailing, and maichan posted his message here in confirmation.

And, I did not receive any notice that you had replied to this thread, which I should have under previous conditions.

Hopefully whatever you did has fixed the problem.

Todd, I didn't receive your email, but as you can see below, I did get Steve's...

I just sent an email reply with the full headers.

Here is a copy of that Test email - hope this helps:

Actually, tell a lie... I DID get the email... but to my other email domain instead! Not my registered Hotmail here, but my own webspace email. Oh I think I know why... I used a random mailbox from it to test some of the anti spam measures and if new users got the activation email from the forum. That's probably why it's in the system. But I got nada on my Hotmail address.

For those who didn't receive the email I sent out it could just be that your address is not on the UYD's Mailing List "DojoList". To subscribe, you need to add your email address at http://usagiyojimbo.com/newsletter.html then do the verification thing. If your address is already on the DojoList (the script will tell you if you are already a subscriber), then the email may have ended up in your spam folder or is being blocked.

I just tested out everything and the DojoList sign up function works properly.

If anyone has trouble, please post a reply and I'll look into it.

I swear I was on the newsletter list, but evidently not having checked. Now signed up. Strange though that my OTHER email got the message and had gone nowhere near the mailing list either. Curious...

You might have gotten the mass email I sent out through the Dojo Forum, same as the test email....

Yes, I did. To my other email address. Because I'd done a test sign up to check the spambot settings. My Hotmail address (which I use for this profile) got nadda. And no, nothing in Junk folder either. Weird. C'est la vie...

Steve, I did not know you used the DojoBoard mass email feature. I didn't get the email becausethe address listed on my profile was an incorrect one. It's updated now. I just did a test mass email to the Admin's and all appears correct. As long as each user's email address listed in their profile is valid and up to date, and they have enabled the accept email from admin's option, they should receive the mass emails.
